Are there any infrastructure volunteers who want to fix (or get rid of)
broken stuff on  http://cvs.fedora.redhat.com/  that is in a desolate
state for many months or more than a year, respectively?

The problem is that loses the (very helpful) links of how to check
things out, etc.  The right thing is to probably create a page on the
wiki with the (correct) information and redirect to there.

The Fedora Directory Server team was the one that originally wanted
the Bonsai & LXR services available, with an eye towards adding
Tinderbox into the mix as well. I suspect that it would help to
connect with them and find out what their current needs are.

/webfiles was there for a small minority of people who were having
problems checking out from CVS. Anyone who used about it would have
complained by now...

I'm one of those that complained (but not very loudly)

I often used the CVS snapshots in the past to just get a full devel
checkout when I needed one (which is not that often). That was a lot of
quicker then a full CVS checkout with CVS and is likely less load for
all systems involved (especially the server).

So count me as one of those that would welcome daily checkouts.
