server and network performance during peek weeks such as first week of a major
release. I would appreciate your support in providing feedback on the following
items:
1. Do you use a server farm architecture?
2. Do you use a content distribution network like Akamai?
3. What type of machines run the server software?
4. What are the HTTP 1.0/1.1 timeouts being used?
This answer comes probably a bit too late, but I think I cannot answer
your questions. All the mirrors are run by volunteers all around the
world and everyone has their own setup. We are only providing the
infrastructure that redirects the Fedora users to the best and closest
mirror.
