Anyone using it? Anyone know why attempting to install it would load
the library parts of the package but fail to put the appropriate
files in /usr/share?

I looked over them, and none of them would affect graphics setup.
But this morning it seems my Quake 4 is working again !!!
I'm thinking it was a temporary video card issue, or other hardware

I'm still deciding on how to contribute back.
I'm kinda hesitant to begin any task, since starting anything seems
very tough, and would require a lot of commitment.
I guess they're all excuses, but hey.
New Years Resolutions are just around the corner, and I'm finalizing
my Bash Scripts that help with my Dungeons & Dragons game...

help - recovering virtual machine

I have an image file with everything I need installed on it.
It was running fine in f11 (has win xp in it).
I intalled f12.
What do I need to do/recover from backups - so that virt-manager sees
the vm ?

gthumb problems

I have a Nikon D70s camera. I also have an external USB smart card reader
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 0b97:7762 O2 Micro, Inc. Oz776 SmartCard Reader
When I plug the 4GB SanDisk from my Nikon into the card reader it mounts the
disk and puts an icon on my desktop. When I double click on the icon it
brings up a file browser. It identifies the contents as being digital
photos and there is a button on the file browser to start the gthumb photo
import tool. Clicking on this button does not bring up gthumb. When I
look in my .xsession-errors file I find the following:

The same problem occurs if I attach the camera directly to the PC. The
actual mount point is
/media/NIKON D70S
Note the space between the NIKON and the D70S. It looks like the file
browser is choking on the space since it is showing D70S" rather than "NIKON
D70S".
This all worked fine under F11.
Once the device is mounted I can run gthumb manually on the mount point to
import the files.

Just to let you all know that the problem seems to be printer related. On my HP
LaserJet 2200 the label sheets print wrongly as mentioned above. But when I
print using my colour printer HP Photosmart 8450 they print correctly.
Thanks to Peter Hillier-Brook who somehow forced me into trying this other printer.

Need usb troubleshoting tool

Greetings all;
Do we have a usb monitoring tool that can detect and name the processes that
are apparently fighting over a device plugged into a semi remote usb hub, a 7
port Alps gizmo plugged into one of the mobo ports?
Or is it possible that because it is not plugged directly into the
motherboard, that some other process is claiming the attention of that hub,
and making usbhid-ups _think_ another process has locked the ups for its own
use?

Nut 0 vs F10 winner

Greetings;
I am trying to make nut work, in this case with the usbhid-ups driver for a
Belkin UPS. Something is interfering with the drivers access to the ups, I
can often see device or resource busy messages in the drivers debugging
output, which causes it to do a restart, looking for all the devices it knows
about. Eventually it will find it again, but in the attempts to do so are
hidden the messages about something else accessing the device & locking
usbhid-ups out. From a screen scrape:

Trying to match device

failed to claim USB device: could not claim interface 0: Device or resource

The errors of course propagate up through upsd to upsmon which in term
reports no perms and stale data.
Does anyone know what might be attempting to gain access to this usb
connected device besides usbhid-ups?

graphical login screen

On Fedora 12, my machine is running to init 5, and comes up to a
graphical login screen, How do I change the users showed on the screen,
I see users, but no root,
I would only like to see only the user which I specify, and of course root.
