ldapsearch -xLLL -D "cn=directory manager" -W -s base -b "cn=schema" 
"objectclass=*" attributetypes objectclasses| grep yourattrname or 
yourobjclassname

do you see your attribute and objectclass?  Also look in 
/etc/dirsrv/slapd-YOURINST/schema/99user.ldif
