We got rid of slapd.conf and the include file mechanism in the 5.0
product. FDS now is administered via LDAP (cn=config) instead of by
having to edit a config file and restart the server. The config is
stored in the file dse.ldif. The nice thing about it is that it is the
same representation you see if you do a subtree search of cn=config
with ldapsearch - it's in LDIF format just like the search output.

Schema files in the slapd-instance/config/schema directory are
automatically included into the server. Each file has a two digit
prefix from 00 to 99. The files are loaded in numeric order, beginning
with 00core.ldif and ending with 99user.ldif.
