I completly agree with Joerg,
There's interesting thing I've seen through my education and it was
completely obvious
Big companies go to schools, 'polish' their products for the next
generations, thoses who will be asked later for solutions to problems
To achieve what you pointed at you need to target students at colleges
especially IT related (Computer science, Engineering,..) and your
friends,
and remmber KDE, Compiz stuff and other things They will like it very much
about internet issues you can make additional dvd or cd contains
necessay packages for most of users and distribute it with the
live/installation media,of course they will call you every hour to ask you
and remmber that not all of the truth must be said to newbies ;)
If there's someone who can help in theses points and increase number
of fedora users,It's you
