One thing I would like to mention is that if someone accepts a request he should be obliged to fulfil it.
Its a commitment.
I requested FC DVD in november. But never received it.
Later, I downloaded the DVD which took me more than 2 weeks as in Bangladesh we don't get that much speed.
So, some sort of mechanism should be in place which ensures an accepted request has been met.

Cheers,
Imtiaz

On 12/3/06, Siddharth Upmanyu

kind "Shipment Tracking system" would not make any point. the FreeMedia program is volunteerly supported anyone who is accepting the requests is welcome but not a rigid expectation..

When you do voluntarily accept a Request, why don't we fill up a simple shipment tracking system?. Once the request is accepted which is done voluntarily, it becomes the responsibility of him to make sure that he ships the DVD which he's accepted, on time else please do not accept. There should be no problems in this as such, am ready to allocate some server space and bandwidth (up to 5GB) for this.

"Shipment Tracking system" is still not a solution because voluntarily accepted request is not a "becomes the responsibility" in most rigid way...

community programs cannot be used in a way that put restrictions and rigid guidelines to the people who contribute to it...

Siddharth
