What should the u-boot address be for the BBB, and how do I check it?

I noted something strange with the beta5 image. Even a pristine image
freshly created according to the install instructions (dd, copy uboot
files) doesn't actually boot from the SD card.

When I press the boot switch, and power on the BBB, it hangs at "Starting
kernel ...".

When I don't boot from the SD card (boot switch not pressed), it boots from
the eMMC, that in some way seems to chainload the kernel from the SD card,
and boots it. This allowed me to boot Fedora in the first place.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks,
Geert
