Sounds like the el6 build should depend on python-argparse, then. 
That's already in EPEL.

I'm still trying to reproduce Vitaly's login problem and not having much 
luck.  :-\  Is anyone else able to do so and post logs? 
(/var/log/cloud-init.log)
