Maximum length of userid on Fedora Linux

$ sudo useradd a23456789012345678901234567890
$ ls /home/a23456789012345678901234567890/
ls: cannot open directory /home/a23456789012345678901234567890/: Permission 
denied

I think there isn't a 16 char limit ;).
