service iptables save, systemctl, and unhelpful error messages

I can only say, that I'd like to have a solution, and there has been 
some discussion about this some time ago. But the result was that it is 
not possible and/or allowed.

I can not decide the way to go here. Also I can not change packaging 
guidelines. If I add the script to the package, I will get a message 
that this is not allowed.

'at best' meant that this is the best place for this discussion, because 
according to the guidelines I am not allowed add the script to the main 
package and therefore a user has to install an additional package to get 
the help message. This is not working.

I tried to find another solution for this as I switched to systemd, but 
failed also.
