XFS rootfs required?

This is a very close call.

The relevant release criterion would be Final: "The installer must be
able to create and install to any workable partition layout using any
file system offered in a default installer configuration, LVM, software,
hardware or BIOS RAID, or combination of the above"

I guess under a strict interpretation, it fails to meet the criterion,
because the *consequence* of the bug is that XFS is not 'offered' as a
file system by the installer.

You could take the view, however, that it's clearly _intended_ to be
offered.

I'd probably incline to the first view, because the idea behind the
criterion is that you shouldn't be able to paint yourself into a corner
with the installer - you shouldn't be able to pick an option that
doesn't work. But it's a close call. It's probably worth proposing it
and having the discussion.

In any case, obviously, it should get fixed.
