While it is logical to load the gnome-vfs-daemon - I don't see any<br>
good reason to start gnome-screensaver and friends.<br>

Has anyone checked yet to see if gnome-screensaver is what's setting the background? I should probably login to a failsafe session and see if just running gnome-screensaver changes the background.<br>
