</div>Last I knew, grub2 was a dead project. At least it was when I looked at<br>
it about 2 or 3 years ago. It hadn't had a single code update in over 2<br>
years when I looked at it. Has that changed?<br>

It is far from dead. A video subsystem has been implemented from the GSoC 2008 as well as some usb support I believe.</div>
