Tried to rpmbuild NVIDIA drivers

I have just installed Fedora Core 1 and I tried to:

 rpmbuild --rebuild <NVIDIA driver> 

for my NVIDIA graphics and nforce drivers.  It replied CANNOT WRITE to \\\\SOURCE
<file:///\\\SOURCE> .  CANNOT INSTALL.  I am looking for help, I am new to Linux and have
browsed and printed pages of tutorial info, to no avail.  Thanks...
