The metatags themselves come from the DocBook specification, and the<br>
best resource for learning more about them is DocBook: The Definitive<br>
Guide, available for free on the web at<br>

snippet above comes from a <indexterm> tag, meaning that those<br>
headings will show up in the index at the back of the book.<br>

As for "Region and Language", that's the name of the part of the GNOME<br>
control panel. My best guess would be to translate that to match the<br>
GNOME translation, so that the two translations match each other. It<br>
appears that "language configuration" can be translated directly.<br>
