Hi Petr,

Thank you for a great welcoming email! Earlier, I attended Fedora working hours and people were really helpful. I don't think timing would be an issue for fedora meetings because I think it's a great time for people with IST time zone. Once again, thank you for your welcoming email and I look forward to contributing in fedora.

Regards,

Tushar

On 10 October 2014 19:08, Petr Bokoc <pbokoc@redhat.com> wrote:

Hi Tushar, welcome aboard!

You should come say hi to our weekly meetings if you can - we hold
them on IRC, in the #fedora-meeting channel on FreeNode every Monday
at 14:00 GMT, and they last an hour. These meetings are arguably the
best way for new contributors to find out more about what tools we
use, how we work and where to get started.

Of course, if you can't attend for any reason, it's fine - we can do
this over e-mail as well, it's just going to be slower.

You should also drop by the #fedora-docs channel (again, on
FreeNode); a lot of us hang out there during the day. Timezones
might be a bit of an issue because most of us are either in Europe
or in the US, but I think that if you're in IST (that's GMT+5:30,
right?), then you should be able to catch some of us online.

Cheers,

I'm a passionate Fedora user and I would like to contribute

and since there is a lot of explore and learn in Linux,
therefore, I would like to start with writing documentation.
Aside from having been using Linux for general everyday
computing, I also use it for learning programming languages
like shell scripting, C and Java programming language. I gave
RHCE test in 2012 and passed it. I haven't been using Linux
professionally so, system administration skills are a bit
rusty.
