--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : python-pip
Product : Fedora EPEL 6
Version : 1.3.1
Release : 1.el6
URL : http://www.pip-installer.org
Summary : Pip installs packages. Python3 packages. An easy_install replacement
Description :
Pip is a replacement for `easy_install
<http://peak.telecommunity.com/DevCenter/EasyInstall>`_. It uses mostly the
same techniques for finding packages, so packages that were made
easy_installable should be pip-installable as well.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
1.3.1, fix for CVE-2013-1888, insecure tempdir usage.
Working with a virtualenv from outside the virtualenv (pip -E) is no longer an available option. The currently supported workflow is to install packages into virtualenvs directly using their embedded pip binary.
