Hello Everyone!<br><br>i'm looking at spreading Linux through our Magazine (GTbens) rapidly across Africa with the help of the Fedora Community. Currently working with a sister company/group called Gtwon Media together with my group Bensoft Enterprise. It might interest you to know we are Official Fedora Vendors and Redhat Resellers in Nigeria and also an active advocate for Open source Technology in Africa.<br>
<br><b>Our Project<br></b>- Gtbens: An I.T driven magazine which will serve as a resource center for I.T bodies, Banks, Government or Telecomms companies or interested individuals.<br>- A community based project (hopefully Fedora) focusing on spreading Linux in Nigeria and Africa. <br>
- Africa does not have the bandwidth so have Fedora Linux attached to the Magazine at an Affordable price.<br>- Work with the Fedora team as regards Articles, design team, contents and resource for the magazine.<br>- Contribute in no small measure to the Fedora Community and more.<br>
- Help Redhat Linux grab a market share in the African Market by this project<br>- Have the Fedora Communty Own the project if the want to but allow us run it as representatives in Africa<br>- Make Fedora repository available via dvd attached to the mag and more.<br>
<br><b>Project Target Release<br></b>Twice every year as with Fedora Linux, with exception to special releases on other open source based projects like Blender, Inkscape or any open source software<br><b>Goal<br></b>An open source training center in the long run could be born where RHCT and RHCE courses can be taken right here in Nigeria or Africa<br>
Spread other Open source initiative like OLPC<br>Have Fedora Community and Redhat active in Africa<br><br><b>What is on the Ground</b><br>Gtbens is already registered in Nigeria. Full details would be made known to interested persons.<br>
Gtown Media and Bensoft Enterprise are two registered companies in Nigeria.<br>Redhat resellers and Fedora Vendors<br>Marketing channels already available vis major stores in Lagos, Abuja and Owerri<br><br><b>What we need?</b><br>
Sponsorship/Funding for the first two releases only. We can carry on from there while providing the same returns to the Fedora project, <br>Or, Have the Fedora Community take control of it themselves with us as front runners if they so please.<br>
