I'm excited to get started and in addition, to hear that the Fedora Infrastructure group is using modern tools. I think the most welcome part is that there actually seems to be room for sysadmins to help. I've found that is often not the case in modern projects(not referring to Fedora).</div>
<div style><br></div><div style>Ideally, I'd like to contribute to something that is within my skill set. Although doing a little QA might be fun on some other boxes I have around. One of the reasons I'm leaning towards infra - aside from being an established sysadmin myself - is because I have quite a few virtual labs kicking around. </div></div>Sure. That's what we're here for! Would you like to work in a sysadmin<br>
role, or are you open to try out something new. Dan's already pointed<br>
you to QA. I'll give you more detailed information and you can see where<br>
you want to get started.<br>

As a sysadmin, you can work with Fedora infrastructure[1]. They have a<br>
very very detailed page on getting started[2]. Infra handles all<br>
our..well..infra. This includes everything listed here[3], and the<br>
various fedora applications[4]. They make use of puppet and a lot of<br>
other stuff that I don't understand ;) Glean through the wiki for more<br>
info. They could really use a few more established sysadmins. There's a<br>
lot of work, and not enough hands on board sometimes.<br>
<br>
If you'd like to try something that isn't to do with system<br>
administration, you could look at the other tasks. QA is one[5], which<br>
is relatively simpler to start with. For instance, you can just give<br>
karma to updates[7]. It's a simple, but important task. If you'd like<br>
something more "dangerous", you can help test Fedora 19[8] which<br>
recently went Beta[9].<br>

There are a lot of other roles too. A quick introduction can be found<br>
here[6]. Do have a look and we look forward to answering any other<br>
questions that you have thereafter.<br>
