I wanted to get some feedback here. so the idea was to strip out all
the livecd customisation, for the arm images they are not livecds we
ship a rawdisk image, that you dd to a sdcard or usb stick depending on
the platform. the image is the final install. development boards like
the pandaboard you can only boot from a sdcard. you oculd put the
rootfs on a usb drive, but the MLO file has to be on the sdcard as
thats where the soc loads it from.

so my idea was to set out a base config for arm boards. we would then
have device specifc kickstarts to do some platform specific tweaking.
as well as set the base package set thats shared between livecds and
disk images. its all still kinda swirling around in my head. so im
maybe not as coherent as i should be in my thoughts here. the output of
a disk image and livecd is different. we will use the same tool to make
them all for fedora 18 livemedia-creator. but i want the experience to
be mostly the same if somoene used the x86 livecd or a arm image of
the same spin. Though in the arm case we will run firstboot and ssh etc
because it is a live running fully installed system.

thoughts, concerns, want to help?
