Summary: Boldface not working with some sizes
           Product: Fedora
           Version: 12
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW

Screenshot (11pt). UMing was problematic while UKai OK.

Description of problem:

Text in boldface cannot be correctly shown in UKai and UMing font families when
certain font sizes are used. Instead, they are shown as normal characters with
slightly larger spacing between them.

For example, in 11pts, UMing boldface is not working, while UKai works. Both
font families work fine in 12pts, yet neither works in 14pts.

In the screenshots to be uploaded later, the same text excerpt was copied in
OpenOffice.org Writer in order to show the idiosyncrasy. The filenames (w/o the
".png" part) indicates the size used. Each screenshot shows two paragraphs of
identical texts, both with the first sentence set to boldface in Oo.o Writer.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

cjkuni-fonts-0.2.20080216.1-29.fc12

How reproducible:

Always

Actual results:

"Boldface" displayed just like non-boldface, with slightly larger character
spacing.

Expected results:

"Boldface" text should have been displayed in boldface, duh.

Additional info:

Non-CJK characters are affected too.

Another font, the WenQuanYi Zen Hei (package name: wqy-zenhei-fonts), doesn't
display this erroneous behavior.
