 Thanks a lot Maverick,

 I compared prices and both Orbiz and all the flight search engines on the
 FUDCon wiki page were ''way'' more expensive than what I got here in
 Germany. I have now paid 573,93 EUR for the flight and travel cancellation
 insurance.

 As for the costs: I am willing to take over a part and for simplicity I
 suggest that I pay for the hotel while Fedora reimburses me for the
 flight. Is there a common hotel where all/most of the conference attendees
 will stay? What about booking? Did the event owners reserve a number of
 Rooms in one of the hotel?
