I *was* also confident like you after using Redhat 6.0 to Fedora 14
since Feb 2000.<br>

I faced the exact problem.<br>
<br>
Solution - Create some free space on the Hard Disk and install
Ubuntu and softlink the home directory under fedora to home
directory under Ubuntu.<br>

That is exactly what I have done.<br>
<br>
I still have the Fedora in the same state, if anyone still wants to
help, I am still game, but this email I am writing on Ubuntu.<br>
<br>
Just for info, I use LXDE on Fedora and also on Ubuntu. So in case
some one wants to help be sure that you have a upgraded (from 14 to
15) working copy of LXDE on your machine. <br>

I am asked for ^D (Control D)
Then I am asked for root password.
Then it opens on text mode.
Now what I have to do? I am in trouble – all my files would be lost.
