Toolbar freezing

My toolbar keeps freezing about five minutes into a session. (This 
affects only one of my accounts; another account, that I use less 
frequently, doesn't show this problem.) After that, if I don't already 
have a Konsole session loaded, I have to shut the machine down the hard 
way--by holding down the Power button for five seconds. Worse yet, I 
cannot start any new programs without first shutting down and restarting.
