Can someone help me with a new device action?

Hi,

I'm sorry about "thread hijacking" the other thread, I never heard of
this but I will not do it any more.
I'm not sure if this is also "top posting" or not but if it is I do
apologize for it.
I'm also sorry this email is so long.

I did some searching on the internet and found that my CD/DVD drive is
not included in the /etc/fstab file. I tried adding it and my computer
did not like the change I made. I'm glad I have Parted Magic.

This is what my fstab says:

#
# /etc/fstab
# Created by anaconda on Wed May 30 10:26:51 2012
#
# Accessible filesystems, by reference, are maintained under '/dev/disk'
# See man pages fstab(5), findfs(8), mount(8) and/or blkid(8) for more info
#
/dev/vg_nrlacasse/lv_root / ext4 defaults 1 1
UUID=011851a9-8e9f-4bca-a834-6860abac0737 /boot ext4 defaults 1 2
/dev/mapper/vg_nrlacasse-lv_Home /home ext4 defaults 1 2
/dev/mapper/vg_nrlacasse-lv_swap swap swap defaults 0 0
UUID=bed0b4f6-a25b-4332-8e39-2259a9989378 swap swap defaults 0 0
UUID=331fd93b-f67c-412c-bc73-b877077269f7 swap swap defaults 0 0

I tried adding: /dev/sr0 /media/cdrom auto defaults 0 0

If this is why I cannot see the CD/DVD's in my media directory can
someone tell me the correct information to add? Is the DVD drive part of
the vg_nrlacasse logical volume group?

Should it be: /dev/vg_nrlacasse/dev/sr0 /media/cdrom auto defaults 0 0

I also did this wodim --devices to see what it said.

This is what I got.

[NRL at NRLacasse ~]$ wodim –devices
wodim: Overview of accessible drives (1 found) :
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
0 dev='/dev/sg3' rwrw-- : 'ASUS' 'DRW-24B1ST a'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
[NRL at NRLacasse ~]$

The CD/DVD Drive is at: /dev/sr0

Thanks, Norman
