Update Disables Desktop Effects

K... How old is the laptop? There seems to be serveral problems with the 
newest kernels distrubted by Fedora (which, by the way, are tainted) and the 
some intel chipsets. I've had one laptop (defunct for a couple of months) at 
work that has required an external keyboard to be able to type. I have another 
laptop that produces kernel warnings all of these problems seem to be related 
it older intel chipsets.

I don't have the list off hand. But I'm sure a quick google or search through 
bugzilla will point the problems out.
