I was finally able to figure it out and have successfully gone back. Before I did, what I was getting: </p>

Messages would get downloaded multiple times. Sometimes, they would get filtered into the appropriate folder, sometimes a duplicate would be downloaded and left in the inbox - (I was having to highlight new mail constantly, and do a 'Ctl-j' to run the filters manually, followed by going to each folder and running a 'Ctl-Shift-* to eliminate duplicates)- with over 40 folders, this got to be very tedious. Processing time started out terrible but seemed to improve with subsequent updates, but, the filtering/duplicate download problem never resolved - for now, I'm back to previous version, and KMail is working well again </p>
