Hello,

I have several problems with Fedora 14 on my ASUS F9E laptop.

1) The integrated video card wasn't detected correctly, so now it works with default VESA driver and with resolution 1024x768. On previous system, Fedora 11, there was maximal resolution, 1280x800.

Initially I couldn't run "normal installation" from DVD because it stops at devices detecting stage (only black screen and nothing happens). So I chose "install with basic video driver" variant. But when I have booted from LiveCD there was no such problem, resolution is 1280x800 and fonts and other images are clear.

Additional info for subject:

$lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

I have found the same problem when I was trying to resolve this one:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=650888
Similar cases were found in earlier versions of Fedora or other linux distributives, and their solutions contained manipulations with "xorg.conf". Now there is no same way to configure video, and so they don't work.

2) Web camera shows "head over heels" picture, and I cannot use flash light led on it.

How can I resolve these problems?

P.S.:
When I wrote about camera, I resolved first part of problem with it. In "Cheese" application I set "head over heels" effect instead of "No effects". After closing the program this setting was saved, and then camera shows correct picture. :)
