[Fedora-livecd-list] Can't boot iso from usb flash device

I noticed that "cat live.iso > usbflashdevice" almost works. Lilo and 
the kernel starts, but fails to find the root partition.

Could it be because blkid shows that it has a LABEL="live" while the 
kernel parameter is "root=CDLABEL=live"?

Changing the kernel parameter to "root=LABEL=live" doesn't work, but 
"root=/dev/sdb" works.

How should it work?
