[Fedora-livecd-list] Building a livecd by kickstarting off of a satellite server

Hi,
first, I apologize for the formatting of my emails/responses... I'm
feeling crippled by lotus notes.

The tomcat that runs under the hood with satellite seems to do some crazy
stuff w/ regards to the dynamically created .ks files it generates... I'm
not sure how to translate something like the following in to something my
.ks could use to build a livecd. This is from a dynamically created "RH
Satellite" ks:

install
text
url --url http://some.satellite-server.com/ty/WJow5BjE
<snip>
key $some-key
repo --name=my-satellite-channel
--baseurl=http://some.satellite-server.com/ty/WJow5BjE <-***

%packages --resolvedeps
@ Base

***this is added by me, because the livecd-creator script wants a repo to
be defined, and I've tried twiddling the name and baseurl, to no avail.
All combo's of channel names/urls seem to error in the same way.

And when I try to do this http kickstart, livecd-creator gets past the
part where it lays down the filesystem, and errors with:

Error creating Live CD : Unable to download from repo : Cannot retrieve
repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: my-satellite-channel.
Please verify its path and try again
Exception exceptions.AttributeError: "'NoneType' object has no attribute
'sysconf'" in <bound method LiveCDYum.__del__ of
<imgcreate.yuminst.LiveCDYum object at 0xa4075cc>> ignored

Unfortunately, I can't find the logs for what the tomcat install is
doing/catching/erroring-on with the satellite server...

It should run exactly the same since most kickstarts install from
network based repos. Can you give us any error messages you're seeing?
Or is it that your feeding livecd-creator a url for the kickstart?
