I downloaded all of the packages and upgraded them but I'm still getting the same error during build:

  Error creating Live CD : fsck after resize returned an error!
  image to debug at /tmp/resize-image-XXXXXX

Any other ideas?

The new packages were in the host I built on... but not in the chroot it built the remix... if that makes a difference?  If so, I'll have to add the newer packages to the repos my build pulls from.
