Hi,

the discussion about changing to btrfs with Fedora 16 has been in the
German news:

"Für Josef Bacik von Fedora ist das im Herbst kommende Fedora 16 eine
mögliche Gelegenheit, auf Btrfs als Standard-Dateisystem umzustellen. Da
Btrfs über ein eingebautes Volume Management verfügt, sollte die
Unterstützung für LVM aufgegeben werden. Schon seit Fedora 11 ist Btrfs
verfügbar, in der kommenden Version Fedora 15 wird es auch ohne
besondere Boot-Optionen zur Nutzung bereitstehen."
