Thanks for the bug report.  If this is a bug in the upstream
package (eg. some kind of regression in the implementation) then
you'll be better off asking about this on the upstream tracker:

I suspect they will wish to see some kind of small C program
that demonstrates the problem, since it's not exactly clear
from the description.

If it's a bug in the Fedora packaging of Cairo, then this
would be the place for it.  However it seems not to be the case.
