Hi
you can look here for a jack guide:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/JACK_Audio_Connection_Kit
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/18/html/Musicians_Guide/sect-Musicians_Guide-Using_JACK.html#sect-Musicians_Guide-Install_and_Configure_JACK
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/18/html/Musicians_Guide/index.html
VMPK is available in fedora "sudo yum install vmpk" but it is only a
MIDI keyboard, you will need to connect its MIDI out to a programs MIDI
input in Jack, and route the Audio outputs of this program to your
system outs.
Alternatively (easier) you could try installing yoshimi or ZynAddSubFx
which both have built in keyboard.
regards,
Brendan
