Brendan,

I found another funky thing. After you click on a track then select the
instrument and the MIDI channel you want, you have to click on another
track and then back to the previous track to make the change take effect.
It used to take effect just after selecting the instrument. Seems some
update isn't kicking in. That would be the 13.04 version from the update
testing repo.

It's throws the workflow off from previous versions. For a new user, it
would probably be very confusing.
