Name : openmpi
Product : Fedora 13
Version : 1.4.1
Release : 4.fc13
URL : http://www.open-mpi.org/
Summary : Open Message Passing Interface
Description :
Open MPI is an open source, freely available implementation of both the
MPI-1 and MPI-2 standards, combining technologies and resources from
several other projects (FT-MPI, LA-MPI, LAM/MPI, and PACX-MPI) in
order to build the best MPI library available. A completely new MPI-2
compliant implementation, Open MPI offers advantages for system and
software vendors, application developers, and computer science
researchers. For more information, see http://www.open-mpi.org/ .

Update Information:
This update fixes packaging and licence issues with openmpi. In particular,
openmpi now uses the system versions of libltdl and libplpa. Failure to use the
system versions of libraries is a security risk, even though we don't know of
any actual security holes affecting embedded copies of those libraries at this
time. This update also fixes a minor bug in the openmpi.module file that
affects python users.

This update can be installed with the "yum" update program. Use
su -c 'yum update openmpi' at the command line.
For more information, refer to "Managing Software with yum",
available at http://docs.fedoraproject.org/yum/.
