Scanner Access Now Easy (SANE) is a universal scanner interface.  The
SANE application programming interface (API) provides standardized
access to any raster image scanner hardware (flatbed scanner,

backends updated.  * More consistent option naming.  * Scanimage no longer
writes image to tty.  * Improved saned network daemon.  * Internal SCSI, USB,
threading, TCP & UDP code updates.  * Documentation updates.  * Bugfixes.
