Name : git
Product : Fedora 17
Version : 1.7.11.2
Release : 2.fc17
URL : http://git-scm.com/
Summary : Fast Version Control System
Description :
Git is a fast, scalable, distributed revision control system with an
unusually rich command set that provides both high-level operations
and full access to internals.

The git rpm installs the core tools with minimal dependencies. To
install all git packages, including tools for integrating with other
SCMs, install the git-all meta-package.

Update Information:

With a recent update, git grew an unwanted dependency on subversion. This was due to splitting some of the code from git-svn.perl into separate files. This update splits those new perl modules into a perl-Git-SVN package.
