Hum, I'm a bit confused here now about: 

"Secondly, only "curl" headers are included from within libopkele headers, so
there is no need to (re)link with the other two libs."

I clearly see expat and tidy includes... in include/opkele/tidy.h and
include/opkele/expat.h 

Am I missing something here?
