Great, thanks!  I'll revisit this next week some time.

FWIW, the existing crystal does install under KDE 4, but it doesn't show up in
the window decorations list because 1.0.5 is still from the KDE 3 version of
crystal here: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=13969

crystal 2.x is the version that is intended to be used with KDE 4.  Details are
