Daniel,

The experiment proposed by mharris in #157556 did fix the dead VTs/green
border problem here on my vga-only Matrox g450 (for the curious,
replacing the FC4T3 libvgahw.a and mga_drv.o with those from FC3)...but
that problem was different than your trouble.  Hopefully my report will
shed some light on other problems too.
