I've got chkconfig --level 12345 avahi-daemon off, I've got sysctl disable avahi-daemon.service, yet whenever I boot my f14 partition, I see avahi-daemon running anyway. A "yum -C erase avahi" wants to remove all sorts of stuff that has no business depending on it, so I can't get rid of it by removing it either.
