I suspect this is due to the glib2 update that seems to have introduced
a fair amount of GNOME desktop problems.
Can you try downgrading glib2 and retesting?
# yum downgrade glib2*
If the problem is resolved after downgrading and rebooting, then I
suspect the problem is similar to what others reported
