The developer of evdev decided to no longer have Emulate3Buttons = on as 
the default. Now this doesn't affect the synaptics driver, and doesn't 
matter to anyone with a real wheeled mouse. But if, as I do, you have a 
laptop that uses the evdev driver, you need to edit xorg.conf - which no 
longer exists.
