In applications and libraries which use cracklib, errors encountered while opening the cracklib dictionary now return a failure message rather than causing the calling process to exit.
For developers who are building applications or libraries which use cracklib, the FascistLook() function is now declared in <packer.h>, allowing applications to test multiple candidate passwords without having to reopen the dictionaries for each one.
This update also corrects a packaging bug which prevented cracklib from using compressed dictionaries (#888876).
