For general testing it's usually the best thing to install from a live
image or from the DVD and not to use any remote repositories. That way
we can be reasonably confident what packages you install. If you do a
network install of a 'TC' or 'RC' you are not really getting that TC or
RC at all, you're getting a fairly random collection of whatever happens
to be in the official repos at that moment in time on your particular
mirror.
