live beta RC2 kernel regression, soft lockups failure to reboot/poweroff

The gist is that the vm is totally hanging, and I'm getting kernel bug messages with soft lockup messages through virsh console. The console only outputs, it won't respond to commands so I can't sysrq+w or +d. So should I use a debug kernel for the guest or host for this? What are the additional memory requirements?
