 Hi,
if any one is interested in this colour problem of Gimp printing. I have localized the module, which seems to be responsible for this error.. It's Gutenprint-Plugin currently in F21 in the version 5.2.10-5.fc21 x86_64.
Kind Regards

Betreff: Bug 1118446 - wrong colour, instead of turquoise printing blue

 Hi,
since Fedora 20 I am trying to get the colour Turquoise printed with Gimp using the button "print with gutenprint" in the Gimp menue. The current state (F21, RC5) is success with the button "print" in the Gimp menue, but still no success with the button "print with Gutenprint" in the Gimp menue. So far as I have seen, according to my installation for my Canon Pixma MP540 printer, both choices use the driver "stp-bjc-MP540-series.5.2.ppd". I have to say, this problem seems to be only a problem of some Canon printers?
Both choices "print" and "print with Gutenberg" seem to use the same ppd file (in my installation), but only the choice "print" brings the correct mixtures of "blue" colour with "yellow/green", which gives i.e. turquoise. The choice "print with gutenberg" prints only blue. In my opinion this can be a problem of Gimp or Cups-Gutenberg. If there is no solution in F21, I will continue to regard this printing problem in F22.
Kind Regards

Hi,
still I can not print fotos with my Canon Pixma MP540 (F21 Final TC2, cups-gutenprint). Reason: Blue colours are printed not according to the fotos.
This problem is reported and discussed in open Bug 1118446. Are there more printers showing similar problems, or is this only the
problem of some Canon printers?
Kind Regards
