If you have a list of all installed packages, such as in /var/log/rpmpkgs,
then you could start with a clean /var/lib/rpm and install them all with
"rpm -i --justdb --nodeps ...". Of course you'd have to download all the
RPM files manually. Whether that's easier than just reinstalling your
whole system depends on your situation.
